Re-Membering Feminine Power!

Just as I always do every morning, I looked out from my bedroom window to take in the expansive view across the land and offered my gratitude for the morning rays.  I acknowledged the horses as they were nose deep in their breakfast bale of  hay.  There was a brightness that filled me in response and I remembered that today is International Women’s Day!

Not so long ago, this would have been a day – just like any other day – long forgotten in the flurry of usual tasks swept up in busyness.  Let us not forget the women who came before us, bearing the edge of suffering in the name of freedom - rising up in a collective roaring voice to be heard by their communities, in the back streets, in the bedroom, and in every kitchen where great feasts were prepared by their loving hands as an expression of their radiant hearts.  Let us not forget their tears, as their deepest longing fell silent to the floor and bore the brunt of life’s atrocities by those declaring their power through an angry hand.

As western women, we are as close to equal rights as it gets at this planetary time.  In some parts of Europe, the women share this same freedom and perhaps more so, because this day is a collective celebration in the streets of their communities.  In spiritual communities, one could deliberate the short fallings of grasping at gender.  It would be so easy to say that we’re just creating more division, only to sweep it away by declaring that it’s not a big deal because we’re all just human beings!

Let’s contemplate this.  Let’s never forget that this freedom is still fresh and new.  It’s like a first kiss – we’re Romancing the Spirit of this tender connection.  And let us never forget that to this day, the largest suppressed group globally is still women and that we’re the largest untapped resource on the planet.

I invite you to celebrate this day with all your heart and creativity – a down to the flesh of your bones offering of your deeper yearning and honoring of the feminine – a declaration of gratitude for all women everywhere!

Celebrate in the streets, dance in your living room, sing a song out loud, offer up a bone-wrenching prayer, make love with life and give this radiance back to all women, or perform a living ritual on the Earth for all those who rise up in the name of the Feminine Heart all the way back to First Woman.  Rise up and be heard from the depths of your radiant heart!

This is why I celebrate this day:

• Gratitude so deep that I can’t find the words to express the love that I hold for all those who cleared an open path before me. Tears are my offering to you!
• For all the women who courageously stepped into the unknown on behalf of humanity, knowing that freedom and the tenderness of love was and remains to be the only true medicine and healing balm.
• On behalf of all women who have yet to taste this freedom, that we, as western women so often take for granted in our everyday vanity.
• For all those women who feel there is now way out of the suffering - may they never be forgotten.
• Because we still have a long road ahead of us – to take the steps necessary to awaken and empower the feminine heart in every human being on the planet.
• I celebrate the feminine in everyone I meet and declare that I’ll never cease to give it succulent expression as a messenger of the womb of life.
• Because the world has yet to witness the unfathomable power of the feminine as it rises up in all women as the vessels of love that we are!
• Because love is an invisible force of unimaginable proportion that can silently bring change to the world as a Miracle for the Earth.

Thank you all for graciously rising up in loving celebration of the awakening feminine heart across the planet.  I’m very grateful for your support and commitment to expanding feminine florescence!  I’m listening and so many others choosing to hear what you have to share about the New Face of Feminine Emergence.
