Are You Ready for a Red Moon Revolution?

During women’s circle, the subject of feminine flow will surface in conversation, while sharing our frustration about being a woman.  Repeatedly, there are loud messages proclaiming that the relationship between women and their bodies needs to heal and evolve.  It’s also apparent that talking about menstruation makes us feel squeamish or ashamed, and is clearly taboo for many of us.

You know the slang for your moon days: “She’s on the rag,” “Aunt Flow is coming to town,” “Riding the crimson tide,” “The Red Coats have arrived,” and “The Red Sox have a home game,” or the universal favorite, “Ugh, I’ve got the curse,” and so on.

None of them are pretty or honoring.  So I invite us to engage in a new attitude toward this sacred event – to speak a language full of beauty, respect and cerremony.

My moon time makes me feel womanly, alive, sensual, and in tune with my body and life.  In fact, I consider it part of my feminine practice.  I didn’t always feel that way.

Women at the Heart of the World

The central crisis of our time is the devaluation of the feminine.  This inherent forgetfulness allows the degradation of the Earth, the abuse of women, their exclusion from influence, and ultimately the decline of all life. Solutions begin by understanding how the imbalance of the masculine and feminine is the root cause of the fundamental issues of materialism and personal power. Let’s be spiritually available to new ways of educating, communicating, and begin the alchemy from the inner realms of Light… to dance with an emerging frequency that ultimately knows divine solutions and a higher harmony for humanity.  What the world requires is for a new paradigm of relationship to emerge – the sacred union of the feminine and masculine principles in right-relationship to absolute consciousness and the succulence of the Mysterious Mother aligned with the power of PanchaMama – the planet that sustains us.

Celebrating International Women’s Day…

Re-Membering Feminine Power!

Just as I always do every morning, I looked out from my bedroom window to take in the expansive view across the land and offered my gratitude for the morning rays.  I acknowledged the horses as they were nose deep in their breakfast bale of  hay.  There was a brightness that filled me in response and I remembered that today is International Women’s Day!

Not so long ago, this would have been a day – just like any other day – long forgotten in the flurry of usual tasks swept up in busyness.  Let us not forget the women who came before us, bearing the edge of suffering in the name of freedom - rising up in a collective roaring voice to be heard by their communities, in the back streets, in the bedroom, and in every kitchen where great feasts were prepared by their loving hands as an expression of their radiant hearts.  Let us not forget their tears, as their deepest longing fell silent to the floor and bore the brunt of life’s atrocities by those declaring their power through an angry hand.
